We are proud to announce 2011 PVI Alum, James Stegmaier as the third head golf coach in Paul VI history. Coach Stegmaier played football and golf at PVI, before attending Penn State University where he also participated in the golf club. The 2014 PSU graduate is a trained master club fitter and has worked in the golf industry for over four years. He looks forward to continuing Paul VI's strong golf tradition and to helping young men and women grow into well-rounded student-athletes. Coach Linda Gaudi, who assisted recently with Coach Horan.  Coach Stegmaier can be reached at jstegmaier@pvipanther.net or jpstegmaier@gmail.com.

PAUL VI CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL
VARSITY GOLF PROGRAM

Season:  Spring:  February 20 – May 20

Specifics:  The team is coed and normally consists of 12 players.

The schedule includes 15 matches.

The team participates in the following tournaments:   Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC), the Virginia State Catholic Championship, the Metropolitan Private School Championship and Virginia Independent Schools Championship.

The team’s home course is The Country Club of Fairfax but the team also plays at Army-Navy Country Club, International Country Club, Chantilly Country Club, Fairfax National, and Springfield Country Club.

Team Awards: The golf program has won 11 state Catholic championships and four  WCAC Championships.

The team has had a number of state Catholic medalists and several  WCAC medalists.  Our program has produced three 2-time Washington Post All  Metropolitan team members:  Ryan Abernante, Ryan Price and Tyler Wingo who was selected in 2009 and 2010.
